Dec. 11, 1956 - March 14, 2010SOUTH BEND - Christopher B. Wishin, 53, residing in South Bend, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Regency Place of South Bend. He was born December 11, 1956 in South Bend, a son of Edward J. & Mary Catherine (Heinerich) Wishin, and was a 1976 graduate of LaSalle High School. Chris loved the water, and lived on the island at Put-In-Bay, OH, where he was employed at a winery. He later moved to Daytona Beach, Florida where he serviced commercial and residential pools. His favorite hobby was sun & fun, and he enjoyed that every day in Florida, overlooking the ocean from his home. He returned to South Bend on November 29, 2009. He is survived by his three sisters and three brothers, Debra (John) Hayes of Sturgis, MI; Kathy Glassburn of South Bend, who so lovingly took care of him; Kevin E. (Brenda) Wishin of South Bend; Mary Lou (John) Prendergast of St. Louis, MO; Randy (Vicki) Wishin, and Jerome P. Wishin, both of South Bend, and his best friend who was just like a brother, Norman Slaby of South Bend. Chris will also be greatly missed by numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward on Sept. 26, 1987, and his mother, Mary, on July 14, 2001, as well as a brother, Barry R. Wishin in 2000. Memorial services for Chris will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend.
