SOUTH BEND - Paul B. Wirtz, 63, of Searer Drive, died at 8:20 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mr. Wirtz retired from Simon Brothers and then from Femco, Mishawaka. He was born May 13, 1930, in Milwaukee, and came here in 1974 from Detroit.

On July 12, 1958, in Antigo, Wis., he married Jean Jicha. She survives with two daughters, Kathleen Wirtz of South Bend and Maureen Kinn of Chicago; three sons, Paul J. of Chicago, John M. of Cincinnati and Tim W. of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a brother, Peter J. of Chicago. He was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and a graduate of University of Wisconsin. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in Hickey Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where wake services will be said at 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association.
