Helen Marie Winenger

Helen Marie (Tuttle) Winenger, 82, of
Miller's Merry Manor passed away Saturday evening of natural
causes. Mrs. Winenger was born July 10, 1914 in Walkerton. She
had lived in this area her entire lifetime.
On July 11, 1931, in Tyner she married
Walter E. Winenger Sr. He passed away Nov. 13, 1972. Helen had
been a homemaker as well as the mother of three children.
Surviving children are Donna (Lauren) Yeager of Mishawaka
and Walter (Mary Ann) Winenger Jr. of South Bend. Helen has six
grandchildren, Pam Fuller of Granger and Jim, Kim, Kristi
and Kellie Winenger, all of South Bend and Dawn Dow of
South Bend. She has two great-grandchldren, Brittany Dow and
Erica Rios.
Mrs. Winenger was the daughter of Clem and
Sarah (Bucher) Tuttle. She is survived by four
sisters, Dorothy Conrad of Florida, Ruth Straker of
Walkerton, Connie O'Brien of California, and Rosamond Schmanski
of South Bend. Also surviving are six brothers, Howard of North
Liberty, Gerald of Walkerton, Stanley of Warsaw, Thomas of
Grovertown, Richard of Argos and James of Hammond. A daughter,
Mary Winenger and two brothers, Robert and Raymond, and one
sister, Marilyn Hendricks preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.
Wednesday in the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home, Walkerton.
Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mrs. Winenger attended the First Brethren
Church in South Bend.
