Sister M. Georgina Wilson CSC

NOTRE DAME - Sister M. Georgina (Vivian Estelle Wilson) CSC was born in Landover, Maryland, to the late Joseph Wilson and Georgina Wallis. She was one of nine children and is survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Sister Georgina received her early education in Maryland, Washington, D.C. She attended Dunbarton College in Washington, D.C., and St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, where she received a BA degree in Business.

Sister Georgina entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1938 and in 1941 she began her teaching career in the elementary and high schools of the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in Virginia, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Washington DC. Sister was in the administration at Dunbarton College, Washington, DC, and returned to teaching combined with administrative duties in the schools of the Congregation in California. In 1997, Sister Georgina returned to Saint Mary's, Notre Dame, Indiana, where she participated in volunteer service to the community. She also was active in the Ministry of Prayer until her death.
