NEW CARLISLE - Robert W. Wilson, 71, formerly of Osceola
passed away at 2:10 pm, Thursday, November 22, 2007 in Hospice
House of South Bend surrounded by family. Robert was born on
April 27, 1936 in Winchester, TN to the late Robert T. and M.
Louise (Toliver) Wilson. He is survived by his longtime
companion, Nancy Wickizer of New Carlisle, three sons,
Robert T. (Kathy) Wilson of Phoenix, AZ, Robby (Wendy) Wilson of
Elkhart, Bryan W. "Woody" (Dianna) Wilson of Bristol;
adopted son, Larry Grey of New Carlisle, two
step-daughters, Linda (Larry) Stoval of New Carlisle and
Lea Anne (Christopher) Neiman of New Carlisle; seven
grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; and one great grandson.
He is also survived by his sister, Margwen (Ed) Harper of
Brazil, South America.
Robert was known as a highly active and
skilled individual. He was a perfectionist at every project he
accomplished. He was known by "Tennessee" in his school
years and then by "Wingnut" is his later years. He was
a member of the St. Joseph Lodge #45 F. A. & M, Eastern Star
#320 of New Carlisle, and the American Legion Post 308, Osceola.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm,
Wednesday, November 28, 2007 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776
McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00
am, Thursday, November 29, 2007 in Twin City Baptist Church, 420
E. Jefferson, Mishawaka, with one hour of visitation prior to the
service. Rev. Jerry Bell will officiate. Burial will follow in
St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, South Bend. Memorial donations
may be made to the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care,
Inc., 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637 or to Riley's
Children Hospital.
