Eric Jerome Wills, 17, of Catalpa Drive, Elkhart, Ind., slipped quietly from this life to be in the ever-loving arms of Jesus Christ at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002. On Sept. 12, 1984, Eric was born to Ricky and Connie (Gary) Wills in South Bend, Ind.

He is survived by his parents, Ricky and Connie Wills of Elkhart; brother, Emmanuel "E.J." Wills; sister, Elizabeth "Beth"; grandparents, Elizabeth Johnson, Otis and Brenda Gary, all of South Bend; uncles and aunts, Robert Gary, Douglas Gary, both of South Bend, Edward and Wanda Wills of Indianapolis, Ind., Otis Gary Jr. of Elkhart, Michael Bennett of Evansville, Ind., Octavia Mikki Coleman of Chicago, Ill.; godparents, Donald and Teresa Perry of South Bend; and an innumerable number of family friends and acquaintances. Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emmitt Johnson, and Ed and Annie Mae Wills.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, in Alford's Mortuary, followed by interment at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before the services.
