Mary L. Willis, 76, of North Main Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 2 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, in Hospice House, South Bend, Ind. Mary was born in Electra, Texas, on May 22, 1923, and had resided in this area since 1982.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Corwin and Icea Berlien; and by a sister, Marie Alkire in 1999. On July 4, 1940, in Ardmore, Okla., Mary L. Berlien married Merritt C. (Jay) Willis, who also preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1991. She is survived by a niece, Kathleen M. Keener of Osceola, Ind.; a great-niece, Noell (Dean) Woodruff Giudice of Mishawaka; a great-nephew, Logan (Sandy) Woodruff of Osceola; a great-great-niece, Carmen Jackson of Osceola; and by a great-great-nephew, Zachary Woodruff-Giudice of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind.
