Sister Elsie CSC, 60, died at 5 a.m. today in Saint Mary’s Convent infirmary after a long illness. She was born in Eminence, Ky. Oct 2, 1897 as Elizabeth Williams, and was graduated from St. Mary’s College. She entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in 1920, and made her final profession of vows in 1925. Since then she has taught in New York City; Los Angeles; Michigan City; Morris, il.; and at St. Mary’s College. She became ill several years ago and has been in the convent infirmary the last year.

A requiem high mass will be held at 5 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s and burial will be in the community cemetery. Friends may call in the convent parlors.
