Phyllis M. Williams

March 19, 1947-April 23, 1994

WALKERTON - Phyllis Marie Williams, 47, of Stony Point, N.C., and formerly of Walkerton, died at 10 a.m. Saturday in Statesville, N.C., as a result of a car accident in Statesville. Mrs. Williams was an accountant and a farmer. She was born March 19, 1947, in Leachville, Ark., and lived in Stony Point for the past 61/2 years, coming from Walkerton. On Oct. 24, 1987, in Walkerton, She married Stephen Williams. He survives, with a daughter, Carrie Cooley of Buchanan; three sons, Charles L. Lewis of Ohio, and David E. Lewis and William E. Lewis, both at home; two stepdaughters, Lynn Williams of Knox, and Erikka Williams of Knox; six grandchildren; her mother, Bessie Ward

of Buchanan; a sister, Janet Keay of Niles; and two brothers, Arnold and Roger Ward, both of Buchanan.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Hoven Funeral Home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Buchanan. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
