WALKERTON - Hazel H. Williams, 79, of Miller's Merry Manor, formerly of 704 Indiana St., died at3:05 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, after an illness. Mrs. Williams retired from American Rubber Co., LaPorte. She was born Aug. 29, 1914, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., and lived in Walkerton since 1947, coming from Fish Lake.

On July 1, 1933, in Frazee, Minn., as Hazel H. Kershner, she married Fred Verlin Williams. He died Sept. 16, 1975. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Dill of Walkerton; a son, Fred V. Jr. of Walkerton; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn DeFord of Tampa, Fla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and two hours before services Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
