MISHAWAKA - Georgia M. Will, 86, of Mishawaka, went home
to be with her Lord on Monday, Nov. 19, 2007. She was born in
Benton Harbor, MI, on September 15, 1921, to P. Delbert and Ida (Scherer)
Hanauer.
Georgia married John E. Will in Osceola on
March 7, 1948. John died March 25, 1988. She was also preceded in
death by her parents, and by a sister, Louise Westfeldt.
Mrs. Will is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann Will of
Mishawaka; a nephew, Victor Westfeldt of Seattle, Washington; two
great-nieces and a great-nephew.
Georgia was co-owner of Will's Jewelry Store
and Will's Card and Party Center with her husband. She retired in
1994 from the Jewelry Store and in 1995 from the Card and Party
Center. In her early working career she had been a secretary at
Voice of Music in Benton Harbor. She was a fifty-year member of
Eastern Star, and a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist
Church in Granger. During her working career she received the
George Award from Mishawaka Enterprise, Woman of The Year Award
from the Mishawaka Business Association in 1984, the Outstanding
Working Woman Award in 1987 from the Indiana Federation of
Business & Professional Women's Club, Inc., and the Time
Honored Award from the Mishawaka Business Association in 1996.
Friends may spend time with the family
today, Nov. 21st, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel from 2 to 5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday at 10
a.m., with Rev. Michael Butler officiating. Burial will follow at
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd United Methodist
Church of Granger, to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care,
or to a charity of the donor's choice.
