Mary C. Wille, 98, formerly of
Brookfield Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away after an illness
at 8:50 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, in St. Joseph Care Center West,
South Bend. Mrs. Wille was born on Sept. 25, 1902, in Loten
Hulle, Belgium, as the daughter of the late Camiel and Romaine (DeMeyer)
Steenbeke.
On June 12, 1943, in South Bend, as the
former Mary Steenbeke, she married Cyriel Wille, who
preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1992. She is survived by a
daughter, Mary Ann (Gene) Fredricks of South Bend; two
granddaughters, Kim Kwasneski of Port St. Lucie, Fla., and
Lisa Huls of Burnsville, Minn.; three great-grandsons,
Erik Svedin Jr., Andrew Svedin and Austen Huls; and by
several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wille was employed by the former
Robertson's in South Bend, and also the J.C. Penney Company for
several years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic
Church, South Bend.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today,
Oct. 3, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct.
4, in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, with Rev. Camillo Tirabassi
officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
