MISHAWAKA - Myrtle B. (Marchant) Wilk, 79, of Merrillville, Ind., formerly of Mishawaka, died Tuesday in Lincolnshire Healthcare Center, Merrillville. Mrs. Wilk was a former beautician at Kresge's 5 & 10, South Bend, and former employee of Z.B. Falcons and Eagle Park Inn. She was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Mishawaka.
She is survived by a niece, Patty Claeys of Crown Point; three nephews, Harold Marchant, Albert Marchant, and Gregory Marchant, all of South Bend; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was the first female aviator in Mishawaka.
Services will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Burns Funeral Home, Crown Point, Ind. Graveside services and burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
