SOUTH BEND - Everett Wilkinson, 84, went to be with his Lord Friday, October 12, in Hospice House on Sunnybrook. He was born March 10, 1923, in Converse, IN, to John and Gladys Wilkinson, who preceded him in death, as well as his brother, Bobby.

On August 11, 1984, he married Lois Newland, who survives. He also leaves two daughters, Lois of South Bend and Betty of Ft. Wayne; two stepdaughters, Polly (Larry) Brown of Elkhart and Sally (Steve) Setzer of Red Wing MN; one stepson, David Newland of Mishawaka; and one sister, Lois Shields of North Carolina.

He was a World War II veteran and retired from F.W. Means of South Bend in 1979. He was a member of Evangelical Covenant Church of South Bend, and loved being the custodian with his buddy, Bill Spillman. The children called him Mr. Clean. He also served on the Deacon and Trustee Boards. Memorials may be made to the church at 3025 E. Edison Rd. South Bend, IN, or to Hospice House, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, IN 46637.

There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend.
