Aug. 13, 1921 – Sept. 3, 2000 Evelyn A. Wilkinson, 79, of Sterling House, formely of Louise Lane, South Bend, Ind., died at 2:42 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 3 in Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born on Aug. 13, 1921, in South Bend and she was a lifelong area resident. She was married on June 30, 1943, in South Bend, as Evelyn A. Klemczewski, to Harold F. Wilkinson, Sr., who died on Sept. 27, 1997. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Veronica Kay and Charles Horvath of South Bend, her son and daughter-in-law, Harold, Jr. and Candi Wilkinson of Granger; two grandchildren, Mark and Brad Horvath; and by six great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5, in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 6, in the funeral home, with entombment to follow in the Resurrection Gardens Mausoleum at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
