GRANGER - Ronald Wiggins, 74, of Granger, IN, died at 8:00
a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008, in Memorial Hospital following
an illness. Mr. Wiggins was born June 20, 1934, in South Bend, to
the late Everette M. and Ines (Miller) Wiggins, and was a
lifetime area resident. On June 13, 1953, in South Bend, he
married Mildred Joyce Bashore, who preceded him in death
November 22, 2000. He was also preceded in death by a sister,
Helen McNutt; and three brothers, Everette M. Wiggins Jr.,
Floyd Wiggins and Robert J. "Jimmy" Wiggins. He is
survived by two daughters, Rhonda Wiggins and Debra Lueneburg,
both of Granger; three grandchildren, Michael (Katie) Lueneburg
of Edwardsburg, MI, Lisa (Pete) McNamara of Mishawaka, IN,
and Christi Lueneburg of Edwardsburg; five great-grandchildren;
two brothers, Earl (Mardell) Wiggins of Wakarusa, IN, and Donald
(Kathy) Wiggins of Helena, MT; and one sister-in-law, Jewell
Wiggins of Dowagiac, MI. Mr. Wiggins was the owner of Twin City
Glass for the last 35 years. He was a very active bowler and
participated for many years in the leagues at Chippewa Bowl in
South Bend. He loved NASCAR and followed it to many different
race tracks. One of his favorite activities that he lived for
through the years was his weekly poker games. He was a loving,
caring man who gave of himself to everyone. He lived his life for
his wife and daughters who have all been afflicted with
Huntington's Disease.
Memorial services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14th, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
