MISHAWAKA - Mary Jane (Farr) Wigent,
90, of Mishawaka, died on Saturday, March 29, 2008, in the Saint
Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Jane was born in
South Bend on December 4, 1917, to John and Edith (Anderson)
Brady, who preceded her in death.
She married Evans Charles Farr in
1942, and he preceded her in death in 1963. Jane married Lawrence
Wigent in October 1982, and he preceded her in 1997. She
was also preceded in death by two sons, Tim in 1968 and Jim in
2004; a sister, Frances Brady; and a brother, Joe Brady. Jane is
survived by her daughter, Marianne (Tom) Daffron of
Granger; two sons, John Farr and Terry Farr, both of Mishawaka;
seven grandchildren, Danielle Farr, Eric Farr, Murri Franklin,
Taya Thibodeaux, Tim Daffron, Felicia Farr and Fawn Farr;
10 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Tina Farr. Also
surviving are two stepdaughters, Sherry Pearson of
Westville and Kris (Mike) Card of Illinois; three
stepsons, Ron (Gloria) Wigent and Larry (Sue) Wigent, both of
Valparaiso, and Chuck (Robin) Wigent of South Bend. Jane was a
homemaker and for over 40 years she was employed with School City
of Mishawaka as a crossing guard, retiring in 1999. She was also
a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Mishawaka.
Friends may visit with the family on
Tuesday, April 1, 2008, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main
St., from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at First
Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. David Miller
officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial
contributions may be made to Milton Adult Day Services, 922 E.
Colfax Ave., South Bend, IN 46617. Published in the South Bend
