Lawrence ''Ron'' Wigent, 77, of West Broadway Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 3:22 a.m. on Saturday, May 10, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. Lawrence was born on June 27, 1919, in Orland, Ind., and was a lifelong area resident.

On July 21, 1940, in Mishawaka, Lawrence married Marjorie Schieber, who preceded him in death on Aug. 10, 1979. Lawrence was also preceded in death by a stepson, a granddaughter, and by two brothers.

On Oct. 24, 1981, in Mishawaka, Lawrence married Mary Jane (Brady) Farr, who survives. He is also survived by two daughters, Sharry Pearson of Westville, Ind., and Krisandra Card of Illinois; three sons, Ronald W. Wigent of Michigan City, Ind., Lawrence R. Wigent of Valparaiso, Ind., and Charles R. Wigent of South Bend; a stepdaughter, Marianne Daffron of Granger, Ind.; three stepsons, John E. Farr, Terry J. Farr and James C. Farr, all of Mishawaka; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and by a brother, Carlton DeWayne Wigent of Niles, Mich.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in the First Baptist Church, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church where Lawrence was a member, or to the American Heart Association.
