Marvin D. Whitmore

Marvin D. Whitmore, 93, formerly of
Larch Way, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 12:10 a.m. on
Wednesday, Jan. 13, in the Cardinal Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center, South Bend. Marvin was born on Jan. 12, 1906, in
Hartford, Mich. to the late Grace and Fredrick Whitmore. Marvin
married Dorothy L. Perkins in Bremen, Ind. on May 28, 1970. She
survives. He is also survived by his sister, Ruby Ruple of
Dowagiac, Mich.; a brother, Kenneth Whitmore of Louisiana; and by
a niece, Jeanette Allen of Dowagiac. Marvin was a member
of the Albright United Methodist Church, Mishawaka. Marvin
retired in 1964, after twenty years of service as an inspector
for Oldsmobile in Lansing, Mich.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday
in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main Street,
Mishawaka, Ind. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the
Bubb Funeral Chapel North, with Rev. Kenneth Mahan officiating.
Burial will take place in the Maple Hill Cemetery, Hartford,
Mich.
