GRANGER - Robert L. "Bobby" Whitmer III, 20, of
Sand Springs, Oklahoma, formerly of Granger, died December 4th in
Sand Springs. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandparents,
Robert and Esther Whitmer.
Born February 11, 1987, in South Bend, to
Robert L. and Rhonda (Guffey) Whitmer II, he is also
survived by his sister, Nancy Kay Whitmer at home. Also surviving
to cherish his memory are his aunts, Gloria L. Nyikos of
Granger and Nancy Mitchell (Paul) of Culver; and his
uncles, Jack A. Whitmer of South Bend, Ross Guffey of Granger and
Ray Guffey (Vita) of Terlton, OK; and several cousins. Bobby
lived most of his life in this area before moving to Oklahoma. He
graduated from Penn High School and soon after the family moved
to Sand Springs. He worked in the family business and was
president of Whitmer Porta-Morgue. Bobby enjoyed hunting and
fishing and was devoted to his family and friends and helped them
in any way he could. His warm smile and caring ways will be
missed greatly by his family and friends. It breaks our hearts to
lose Bobby, but in his 20 years he left us with memories that
will always be in our hearts.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 15, in the Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North,
17033 Cleveland Road, with Rev. James Campbell officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may
call two hours prior to services. Memorial contributions may be
made to Camp Millhouse.
