Louise Ann Whitmer

Louise Ann Whitmer, 57, formerly of North Liberty, Ind. and Walkerton, Ind., passed away after an extended illness on Tuesday, April 20, in the Valparaiso Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was formerly employed at Premdor in Walkerton for 25 years. She was born in South Bend on March 11, 1942, to Leo D. Shafer and Louie Belle VanKirk, who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by three sisters, Joan Piech of North Liberty, Elaine Williams of Walkerton and Georgia Underwood of Michigan City, Ind.; three brothers, Norman L., Harl H., and Leo D., all of North Liberty; a son, Kirk V. Sandy of Shelbyville, Tenn.; and by two granddaughters.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday in the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home, North Liberty, officiated by Charles Richmond, Pastor of the Church of Christ. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Friday. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery.
