Mrs. Frank Whiteman

July 30, 1870 – May 26, 1950

Mrs. Almorettie Whiteman, aged 79, of rural route No. 4, Box 125, Bertrand MI, died at 5am today in her residence.

 She was born in Cerro Gordo IL, July 30, 1870, and spent most of her life in South Bend.  In 1886 in South Bend she was married to Frank C. Whiteman, who survives.  Mrs. Whiteman operated a blacksmith shop at Sample Street and South Lafayette Boulevard for 30 years.

Surviving are three brothers, Wellington, Othello and Montello Dice, all of South Bend, and two sisters, Mrs. Almeda Briston, of Detroit MI and Mrs. Garnetta Bardeen, of South Bend.

Friends may call in the Hay Funeral Home after 5pm Saturday until funeral services there at 2pm Monday.  Rev. William N. Whear, DD, pastor of Grace Methodist Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
