Jack Whitehead, 73, of Hearthstone
Drive, Mishawaka, Ind., died Wednesday morning, Jan. 3, in his
home. Jack retired from AEP after 38 years as a sales
representative, and was a World War II Army veteran. He was born
on Oct. 29, 1927, in Carter County (Elizabethton), Tenn., to the
late Ernest and Hettie (Largent) Whitehead. He was also
preceded in death by a brother, Carl Whitehead.
On June 18, 1949, in Chicago, Ill., he
married Edna Bohan, who died on July 4, 1981. He is survived by
his close companion of 20 years, Rose Delahanty; a
daughter, Elizabeth "Betsy" Whitehead of Mishawaka; and
by a sister, Joretta Bough of Loma Linda, Calif.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday,
Jan. 6, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road, where
friends may call from noon until time of services. A reception
will follow for family and friends at Betsy Whitehead's home in
Winding Brook Park, Mishawaka (15333 Carriage Lane), following
the funeral home services. Memorials may be made to Hospice of
