George Andrew White, 90, died at 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, in the Bremen Community Hospital, Bremen, Ind. He was born on Aug. 9, 1907, in Lauderdale County, Ala.

On Sept. 26, 1926, in Wayne County, Tenn., he married Glidis Johnson, who preceded him in death on Nov. 6, 1997. He is survived by his daughter, Shirley Lukavich of Peoria, Ill.; five sons, John B. and Vernon, both of Syracuse, Ind., R. Calvin, Aaron and V. Ray, all of South Bend, Ind.; 15 grandchildren; and by a sister, Vertie Woods of Lauderdale County. Mr. White retired from the Bendix Corporation in 1969. He was a member of the Terre Coupe Masonic Lodge No. 204, and Bendix Local No. 9.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood, with Rev. Don Neely officiating. Interment will follow in the Sumption Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home, where a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m.
