Jacquelyn Ann Wharton: (South Bend Tribune 11/3/2002)
Aug. 15, 1949 - Oct. 29, 2002 Jacquelyn Ann Wharton, 53, of South
Bend, Ind., passed away Tuesday morning, Oct. 29, in Saint Joseph
Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
She was born Aug. 15, 1949, in South Bend, to the late Jackson E.
and Ann F. (Moon) Brandt. Jacquelyn married Kenneth C.
"Chris" Wharton, who survives. She is also survived by
her daughters, Melissa A. and Jennifer L. Wharton of South Bend.
Jacquelyn graduated from Washington High School and following
graduation she worked as a Dictaphone operator for the FBI in
their Cleveland office, and also worked in various capacities for
the St. Joseph County Sheriffs Office. She coached the K9 drill
team at the St. Joseph County 4H fair and competed and finished
two years 1 and 2 at the Indiana State Fair in Indianapolis, Ind.
Jacquelyn was an avid dog lover, and was a talented decorator,
cook and enjoyed gardening. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at
10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the Little Flower Catholic Church.
Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may visit with
the family after 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church, 54191 N.
Ironwood Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to the church
or to the charity of donor's choice. The Welsheimer Funeral Home
North assisted the family with arrangements.
