LAKEVILLE - Edward J. Wesolowski, 58,
formerly of South Bend, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2007,
in his home. Ed was born on February 12, 1949, in South Bend, IN,
to Edward E. and Dorothy S. (Czarnecki) Wesolowski, who
both preceded him in death. He worked as a partner with his
father at West's Landscape while also working full time at
Koontz-Wagner Electric for ten years, until his father retired
and he became sole-proprietor of West's Landscape. He retired
from the business in 2004 and his son, Edward Jr. (Buzz), took
over ownership.
On November 23, 1968, in Faith Lutheran
Church, South Bend, IN, he married Melinda A. Brown, who
survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jennifer S. (Rick) Voreis
of South Bend and Amy L. Olson of Mishawaka; one son,
Edward J. (Kristen) Wesolowski of Walkerton; five grandchildren,
Justin, Jakob and Jacee Wesolowski, Abigail and Ryan Voreis;
three sisters, Patricia (William) Michalak, Carol
(Stephen) Jaworski and Karen (Brian) Koszyk, all of
South Bend; two brothers, David (Marsha) Wesolowski and Donald
(Cindy) Wesolowski, both of South Bend; and by many nieces and
nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at
10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2007, in St. John the Baptist
Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday in
the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Ed was an avid
sports fan and had a passion for fishing. He was also a W.W.II
history buff. Everything that happened or happens in life, Ed
could compare to something that happened in W.W.II. Ed was always
the life of the party and had a great sense of humor. His nieces
and nephews referred to him as "Fun Uncle Ed."
His wife, children, grandchildren and family were the most
important things in his life. In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to the family.
