Casimir S. Wentland Sr

Casimir S. Wentland Sr., 80, of 1309 Dunham St., died Wednesday afternoon in his home after a lengthy illness. He was retired from the maintenance department at the University of Notre Dame. He was born on Feb 15, 1902, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. He married Constance Gramze. She died on June 20, 1975. He is survived by two sons, Casimir Jr. and Leonard, both of South Bend; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Borcsics of South Bend

Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir’s Catholic Church, with Rev. Howard Kuhns, C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
