MISHAWAKA - Wendy Anne Wensits, 63, of Mishawaka died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 1:30 a.m. in Saint Joseph Medical Center after an extended illness. Wendy was born in Mishawaka on December 22, 1943, to Albert and Mary Reygaert, She graduated from Mishawaka High School in 1962.

She is survived by her children, Cheryl (Scott) Lightfoot of Toledo, OH, John Wensits of South Bend, Kristin (Jeff) Witt of Mishawaka and Amy Wensits of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; brother, James (Wanda) Reygaert of Auburn Hills, MI; niece, Nicole Kizer of Michigan City, IN; along with many friends and extended family.

Starting in 1993, Wendy began work in the payroll department of Notre Dame University, where she was in charge of faculty payroll. Wendy loved sports, especially Notre Dame and Purdue basketball and football. She loved spending time with her family, and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St. in Mishawaka. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
