MISHAWAKA - Alburto ''Bill'' Wells,
85, of 128 Delorenzi Ave., died at 10:36 a.m. Saturday in St.
Joseph Community Hospital. Mr. Wells had worked for Paramount
Furniture for 20 years and Hawthorne Melody Dairies for 20 years,
retiring in 1972. He was born April 6, 1911, in Pierceton.
On April 27, 1932, in Marion, Ind., he
married Mable Evans. She survives with three daughters,
Marjorie Huston of Elkhart, Martha J. Hopkins of
Mishawaka and Janice S. Clark of South Bend; two sons,
William D. of South Bend and James E. of Portage, Mich.; 13
grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Amy ''Peg'' Fox
of Warsaw and Amelia Shaffer of Leesburg, Fla.; and a half
brother, Forrest ''Pete'' Jobe of Sebring, Fla. He was a
member of East United Methodist Church and Teamsters Union 364,
South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in
Warner Funeral Home, Osceola. Burial will be in Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to
9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to
the church.
