Leonard E. "Bud" Weiss, 77, of Indianapolis, Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died Friday, April 12, in his home.

He retired after 37 years from the Indiana Bell Telephone Company, South Bend, retiring in 1983. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of South Bend Masonic Lodge and Speedway V.F.W. Post 500.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (Haward); two daughters, Pamela Schwindt of Speedway, Ind., and Deborah Williams of Spencer, Ind.; a sister, Anne Baldwin of South Bend; a brother, Hal Weiss of Phoenix, Ariz.; and by six grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, in the Flanner-Buchanan Speedway Mortuary. Burial will be at Westridge Park Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the mortuary.
