Joseph B. Weinkauf, 1022 E. 4th St., died at 10:30 a.m. today in St. Josephs Hospital. He had been ill for several weeks and had been confined in the hospital for the last three weeks. The body is in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.

Joseph B. Weinkauf
Joseph B. Weinkauf, 69, of 1022 E. 4th St., a resident of Mishawaka all of his lifetime, died at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Josephs Hospital following an illness of several weeks.
He was born in Mishawaka July 4, 1894. He married Opal La Down in St. Josephs church, June 18, 1919.
Mr. Weinkauf had been employed by the Ball-Band plant for 37 years before he retired four years ago.
Surviving, along with Mrs. Weinkauf, are two sons, Joseph R. Weinkauf, of South Bend and Michael J. Weinkauf, of this city; three daughters, Mrs. John Gleissner and Mrs. Marie Williams, both of this city, and Mrs. Gilbert Zimmerman of Sacramento, Calif.; 27 grandchildren; four brothers, Adam Weinkauf, of Peoria, Ill., William Weinkauf, of Osceola and Paul and Samuel Weinkauf, of Mishawaka, and two sisters, Mrs. Catherine A. Robbins of Bell, Calif., and Mrs. C. R. Becraft of Mishawaka.
Mr. Weinkauf was a member of the Holy Name Society, Catholic Order of Foresters and the Mishawaka-Penn Twp. Democratic Club.
Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home after noon on Saturday.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Josephs Catholic Church. Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.

Pallbearers at services for Joseph Weinkauf, 69, of 1022 E. 4th St., who died Thursday, will be Joseph and Frank Becraft and Ray, Alfred, Rex and Arthur LaDow. The rosary will be recited at the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home at 7:30 p.m. today. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Josephs Catholic Church.
