SOUTH BEND - Rudy James Weed, 33, residing in South Bend, passed
away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 1, 2009, in his home. He
was born January 5, 1976, in South Bend, the son of Robert
Michael and Rebecca (Zoss) Weed, and had been a lifelong resident
of South Bend. Rudy was a welder by trade. He graduated from John
Adams High School, and was a gifted artist and writer. Rudy had a
great sense of humor and could make anybody laugh. He loved his
family, was a man of God, and loved the Lord greatly. Rudy
attended Gospel Center Missionary Church. Rudy is survived by his
three sons, Danzig James Weed of Argos, Cameron Sebastian
Tankersly of South Bend and Keaton Patrick Risner. Also surviving
are his mother and stepfather, Rebecca and Charles L. Bunch of
Mishawaka; three step-brothers, Jason Bunch of Mishawaka, Jacob
and Luke Weed; his aunt, Kathy Weed; and cousins, Jamie and
Valerie Rice. Services will be at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6,
in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South
Bend. Rev. Chuck Husted of Gospel Center will officiate. The
family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the
funeral home. Expressions of sympathy on behalf of Rudy may be
made to the Palmer Funeral Home to assist the family with
expenses.
