OSCEOLA - Robert R. Weber, 91, residing in Osceola, IN, passed
away at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Miller's Merry
Manor, Walkerton, IN. He was born April 28, 1918 in South Bend, a
son of Otto & Catherine (Wilson) Weber, and has remained a
lifelong resident of this area. He proudly served his country in
WWII in the Philippines and Japan. Following his years of
military service, he attended and graduated from Indiana State
University. He retired from the Internal Revenue Service as an
Auditor following more than 30 years of employment. Mr. Weber was
an avid tennis player and fisherman. He was a member of Queen of
Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka. He was united in marriage to
Maxine Stein. They enjoyed more than 40 years of marriage until
her passing on November 10, 2008. He was also preceded in death
by five sisters, Helen, Mable, Clara, Frances & Violet. He
will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews. Mass of
Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
January 2, 2010, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Graveside
services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South
Bend. The family will receive friends one hour prior to Mass
Saturday at the Church. Contributions in memory of Mr. Weber may
be offered to Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, IN
46544, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements for
the Weber family are being made being made by the Palmer Funeral
