Sister M. Audrey CSC, 55, of Our Lady of the Holy Cross Convent, died at 4:50 a.m. today in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend. She had been ill one year. She was born June 13, 1923 in Davenport, Iowa. As Mary Ellen Webb she entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s on Feb. 14, 1942; was accepted as a novice Feb. 2, 1943; and made her final profession of vows on Feb. 2, 1945. During her career with the community she served as a housekeeper and in various other ancillary services. She worked at the Student’s Infirmary and at Holy Cross House at Notre Dame; in Hammond, Ind.; and in Illinois. Since 1970 she had lived at Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent. 

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery at St. Mary’s. Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at St. Mary’s Convent parlors where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. Saturday.
