Christina May Waters

Christina May ''Sis'' Waters, 53 years old, residing at 54723 Burdette, South Bend, Ind., died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at her home after an illness. Miss Waters was employed at the Automatic Molded Plastics in South Bend, Ind. for 19 years. She was born on June 23, 1943, in South Bend to the late Robert and Betty (Hagedorn) Waters and was a lifelong area resident.

Surviving are two daughters, Sheila and Christy Waters, both of South Bend, Ind.; five granddaughters: Leah Mullins (age 8), Jessica Waters (age 7), Brandi Waters (age 4), Makenzie Garrison (age 1), and Melodie Garrison (age 10 months); one sister, Mary Jane Waters of Huntsville, Ala.; and two brothers, Robert Waters of Huntsville, Ala., and Jerry Szymczak of Decatur, Ala. One brother, Clarence Waters, preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1984.

Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 22, at the Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, Ind. 219-289-2848. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, at the funeral home. Miss Waters enjoyed playing bingo and was active with many bingo activities in the area.
