Anna Irene Waterman

Anna Irene Waterman, 53, residing on Leer Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 1:45 p.m. Monday, July 9, in her home. Miss Waterman was born June 15, 1948, in South Bend, as the daughter of Ray L. and Barbara A. (Stopper) Waterman, and had been a lifelong resident of this area. Anna was preceded in death by her mother Barbara on Feb. 24, 1983, and her father, Ray L. Waterman Jr., on Feb. 27, 1994.

She attended the E.M. Morris School, was a member of the Cathedral of St. Matthew's and it's Rosary Society, and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of V.F.W. Post #360 in Mishawaka, Ind.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Chuck Stout of South Bend; two brothers and their wives, Ray L. and Silvia Waterman III of Westville, Ind., and James A. and Norma Waterman of South Bend; three nieces, five nephews, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Services for Anna Irene Waterman will be at 1 p.m. Friday, July 13, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Michael Heinz of St. Matthew's will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home. The family has requested that contributions in memory of Anna be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to Shrine Hospital for Children, Chicago Unit, 2211 North Oak Park Avenue, Chicago, IL 60707-3392.
