Rudolph M. Wartha, 82, of North Adams Street, died at 6 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. He retired in 1973 from National Bank and Trust, where he was vice-president and a trust officer. He was born July 29, 1908 in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident. On July 03, 1937, in South Bend, he married Irene Gombor, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Dolores O'brien of Bloomfield Hills, Mich., and Kathleen Mueller of Wellesley, Mass.; and seven grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, where he was an usher, and Knights of Columbus 553.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. where a rosry will be said by the Knights of Columbus at 4 p.m. A prayer wake will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
