Miss Anna Wartha. Miss Anna Wartha, 78, of New Buffalo, Mich., a former South Bend resident, died at 7:50 a.m. Sunday of natural causes. She was a retired employee of the U.S. Navy, Washington, D.C. She was born March 9, 1895, in South Bend. She is survived by seven nieces and nephews and a sister, Miss Katherine C. Wartha of New Buffalo.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Cathedral with Rev. Stanley L. Manoski, rector, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Miss Wartha was a member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, New Buffalo. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Note. Miss Anna Wartha is the daughter to Stephen Wartha and Gizella “Ella” (Kertesz/Curtis) Wartha.
