Marvin J. Warrell, Sr., 65, of South St. Joseph, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 2:35 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Marvin was born on June 16, 1936, in Mishawaka, Ind., as the son of the late Fred J. and Violet (Wardlow) Warrell. He was also preceded in death by a sister, June King in September 2000.

Marvin is survived by his son, Marvin Jr. (Heather); a stepson, Scott (Dawn) Wucsina; and a stepdaughter, Jeanie (Cory) Wucsina, all of South Bend; one grandchild, Madison Warrell; five step-grandchildren, Samantha, Sara and Shayna Wucsina, Ryan and Jenna Kolten; two sisters, Mary Jane Thompson of Ontario, Canada, Sharon Mc Gill of New Port Richy, Fla.; three brothers, Robert of Martinsville, Ind., Ralph of Mishawaka and James of South Bend; two nieces, Vicki Jacobs and Jill Warrell; one nephew, Duane Guise; and by two cousins, Lou Ann Dalka of Deltona, Fla., and Joann Andrus of Little Rock, Ark.

Marvin was a lifetime area resident. He had worked for the South Bend Street Department for 10 years before he began to work for Adams Engineering in the maintenance department where he spent more than 12 years. Marvin was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W 8th Street, Mishawaka. Cremation will take place, with burial at a later date.
