Mrs. Janet M. Warner, 84, of
Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness on Sunday, Nov. 19,
in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Janet was born on
Aug. 5, 1916, in Nappanee, Ind., to Roland and Myrtle (Sellers)
Guard, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in
death by a daughter, Marsha Lee Holcomb.
On Aug. 5, 1939, in Plymouth, Ind., she
married George Warner, who survives. She is also survived by her
son, Bill (Edie) Warner of South Bend, Ind.; six grandchildren,
Kim (Darren) DeWitt, Scott (Stacie) Warner, Mike
(Michelle) Warner, Dana (Curt) Martin, Heather Loftus
and Michael (Amber) Hedden; nine great-grandchildren,
Darrick DeWitt, Carl Case, Kyle DeWitt, Gabrielle Warner, Allison
Warner, Allen Martin, Renae Martin, Taylor Loftus and Caitlin Bammerlin;
three sisters, Mavis (John Steinhagen of Mishawaka, Eloise
Kaminski of South Bend and Marge Vanette of Warsaw,
Ind.; and by a brother, Keith Guard of Avondale, Ariz.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
today, Nov. 21, in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home,
3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. Services will be at 11 a.m.
on Wednesday, Nov. 22, in the funeral home, with burial following
at Southlawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the
American Cancer Society.
