On Friday, March 19th, Pauline marched triumphantly through the gates of Heaven to join her savior, Jesus Christ. Pauline F. Wanbaugh, 78, was born on Feb. 28, 1921, in Moultrie, Ga., to Fannie and Needham Holland, Sr.
On Sept. 12, 1942, in Moultrie, Ga., she married Charles Wanbaugh. They shared 45 years of marriage before he preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 1988. She is survived by her four children, Ron (Teresa) Wanbaugh of Racine, Wis., Lynda (Paul) Rupel of Walkerton, Ind., Alan Wanbaugh of Osceola, Ind., and Randy (Kim) Wanbaugh of Mishawaka, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Lisa (Charles) Gawn, Tricia (Gary) Coates, Mark Hanback, Bradley (Alisha) Hanback, Autumn Hanback, Michael Wanbaugh, Brian Wanbaugh and Jill Wanbaugh; nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruthie Davis of Moultrie, Ga., Nolie Irene Bucci of Loudenville, N.Y., Maxie Schramm of Birmingham, Ala., and Laura Nettie Tyika of Wadsworth, Ohio; and by two brothers, Jimmy Holland of Tallahassee, Fla., and Needham Holland, Jr., of Pompano Beach, Fla.
A celebration of her life will be held at at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 24, at the Calvary Temple in South Bend. The family members will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 23, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's name to either Hospice of St. Joseph County or to The Kidney Foundation.
