Cecil D. Walz

Cecil D. Walz, 87 of 105 E. Tasher St. died at 10:10 Sunday in St. Joseph’s Medical Center.  Mr. Walz was a retired Accountant/office manager of Ridge Co., retiring in 1965 after 37 years of service.  He was born March 17, 1900, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On June 5, 1920, in South Bend, he married Bessie Winenger, who survives.  Also Surviving are two daughters, Mary Gagen and Betty Miller both of Venice, Fla.; two grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Entombment will be at Highland Mausoleum.  Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.  He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
