SOUTH BEND - Wilma C. Walters, 87 of Southfield Village,
formerly of Southland Ave., died at 1:45 a.m. Thursday, December
28, 2006, in the healthcare center of the Village. She was born
on July 25, 1919, in Winslow, IN, to William and Audie (Abell)
Robinson. Wilma was preceded in death by two sisters,
Aileen Robinson and Mildred Lynn; and by a brother, Clifton
Robinson.
On April 13, 1935, in Vincennes, she married Richard L. Walters,
who preceded her in death on January 4, 1990. She is lovingly
remembered by her daughter, Kay (Richard) Kline of Bremen,
IN and by her son, Richard (Judy) Walters of Waterford, CT. Also
surviving are six grandchildren; Jennifer and Christopher Kline,
Kenny, Billy, Richard, and David Walters and eight
great-grandchildren.
Wilma was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her God
and her Church. She was a member of Community Baptist Church of
South Bend.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today December 30, 2006 in the
Palmer Funeral Home 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend, IN 46614
with Dr. Bud Steadman officiating. Interment will follow in
Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call today in the
funeral home, one hour prior to the time of services.
