RALPH O. WALTERS

     Ralph O. Walters, 88, of 56925 State Road 123, died at 7:55 a.m. today in the Carlyle Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was a self-employed carpenter. Born on July 13, 1892, in South Bend, he lived here all his life. On April 10, 1915 in South Bend, he married Ethel Straub.  She died on June 15 1965. In 1967, he married Sara Barker Mangus, who died in 1970. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Leah Brazo of Niles; two sons Richard and Frederick, both of South Bend; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Rajski of South Bend and Mrs. Florence Bradley of Osceola; and two brothers, Theodore of Albuquerque, N.M. and William N. of South Bend.

     Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Reed, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. He was a member of Carpenters Union Local 413.
