Paul J. Wallisch, 80, of 27260 Kline
Tr., was dead on arrival Thursday afternoon at Memorial Hospital
after an unexpected illness. He was retired from the former
Oliver Corp. He was born Jan. 27, 1897, in South Bend, and
had lived here all his life. On April 10, 1937, he married
Elizabeth A. Mesko, who survives, along with a daughter,
Mrs. Carol Jean Haag of Granger; a grandchild; a brother,
Joseph, of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Kandlstofer
of Dowagiac <Michigan>.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today in
the Zahoran Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday with Rev. Daniel Piel, pastor of St, Mary's of the
Assumption Catholic Church, of which Wallisch was a member,
officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. A parish
rosary will be recited at 8:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
