Mrs. Martina Wallisch, 71, of 1006
Adams St., died at 2:26 p.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital after an
illness of one week. She came to this country 54 years ago from Austria,
where she was born on Jan. 29, 1893. She was marrried on Oct.
30, 1916, to Frank Collinger, who died in 1917. In
1918 she was married to John Wallisch, who died in 1949. She
is survived by two sons, Frank Collinger and Leo Wallisch, both
of South Bend; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Jankowski, South
Bend; six grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Hafner, and a
sister Mrs. Frances Duetsch, both in Austria. Friends
may call after 7 p.m. today at the Nemeth Funeral Home, where the
rosary will be recited at 7:30 by members of the St. Anthony
Society Ladies Auxiliary. Services will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday in Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Walter Higgins,
C.S.C., pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
