George J. Wallisch, 67, of 614 N. Blaine,
was dead on arrival at 7 p .m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital
after suffering a heart attack at home. He retired in 1977
as a laboratory technician at Lobund Laboratory, Notre Dame,
where he was employed for 18 years. Wallisch was born on Nov. 8,
1910, in South Bend, and lived here all of his life. On Nov
23, 1939, he married Lillian Bognar, who survives. Also
surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Marie Wartha of South Bend
and Mrs. Hilldegarde Cox of Mishaw ka, and a brother,
Albert of South Bend.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at
Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Doyle, C.S.C.,
associate pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William, where there will be a
wake service at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the
heart fund.
