MISHAWAKA - Hazel O. Wallace, 90, of Mishawaka, IN, passed
away of natural causes at 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, in
Memorial Hospital. She was born on July 3, 1917, in Fulton, MS,
to Enoch and Parthenia (Young) Parker.
On October 15, 1937, in Tupelo, MS, she
married Cletus A. Wallace, who preceded her in death on October
7, 1998. Mrs. Wallace is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann
(Guyther) Spencer of Waukegan, IL, Paulette (Jim) Lichatowich
of Columbia City, OR, and Carol Wallace of Alexandra, VA; two
sons, Wayne (Joyce) Wallace of North Liberty, IN, and Winford
(Barb) Wallace of Fulton, MS; 19 grandchildren, six
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; and a
brother, Melvin Parker of Liveoak, FL. Mrs. Wallace moved from
Mississippi to South Bend in 1956. She enjoyed quilting, cooking
and gardening. Mrs. Wallace loved and enjoyed her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, Dec. 8, in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan
St., Lakeville, IN. Rev. Neil Hampton will officiate. Burial will
follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with
the family from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. today in the funeral home, and
one hour prior to the services on Saturday. Contributions may be
made to the charity of donor's choice.
