Joseph Walkowski

March 1, 1868 – February 18, 1943

Joseph Walkowski, aged 74, of 619½ North Johnson Street, died at 1:05am today in his home after an illness of ten days.

Born in Poland March 1, 1868, he came to South Bend from Natrona PA, 24 years ago.  Surviving are the widow Antoinette; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Veninga, of Chicago, and Sister M. Stanislaus Kostka, of the Sisters of Nazareth, in Harvey IL, and a sister, Mrs. Victoria Brzezinska, of Milwaukee WI.

Friends may call at St Joseph Funeral Home until the funeral at 10am Saturday in St Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church.  Rev. Anthony J. Rozewicz, CSC, pastor, will chant the Requiem High Mass.  Interment will be in St Joseph’s Polish Cemetery.
