Mrs. Martha Walkowiak

October 20, 1910 - February 6, 1983

Mrs. Martha Walkowiak, 72, of 23735 State Road 2, died at 3:20pm Sunday in her home after a three year illness.  She was retired form Bendix Corp after 40 years of service.

Born on October 20, 1910, in South Bend, she was a lifetime area resident.  On August 7, 1935, in South Bend, as Martha Kaminski, she married Stanley C. Walkowiak, who died June 15, 1982.  She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Kopczynski and Mrs. Bernadine Szymanowski, both of South Bend.

Services will be at 11am Wednesday in the Holy Family Catholic Church.  Rev. Daniel Peil, pastor, and Rev. Dale Bauman, associate pastor, will officiate.  Entombment will be in St Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Tuesday at the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7pm Tuesday.  She was a member of St. Adalbert and Holy Family Harvest House.
